What is S6 Pilates?

Our offerings.

Personalize your training with private lessons for one or two. Private attention ensures you’ll receive the training you need for that day as well as working on long term goals. Whether you’re working with an injury, training for an event or simply getting in the best shape of your life, you can’t beat a private lesson.

Private + Duet Lessons

While you may have tried Pilates before, you probably haven’t tried a class quite like ours. In our fully equipped Gratz studio, you’ll have access to reformers, towers, chairs, barrels and small devices. Every class will have six or fewer participants, allowing for more customization than other studios. Our intensely trained instructors are second or third generation and teach The Pilates Method, the way it was meant to be taught. While you’ll work hard, you’ll get exactly what you need.

Small Group Classes

Our philosophy.

The “S6” of S6 Pilates is a progressive hierarchy of principles designed to teach the body how to move—efficiently, intelligently, and with purpose.

Each principle builds upon the one before it. We begin with Stability, develop Stamina, explore Stretch, build Strength, introduce Speed, and ultimately bring everything together through Synergy.

1. Stability

Create the foundation.

An elongated, supported, and stable spine is paramount to proper movement mechanics. The stability of the spine provides the foundation from which the rest of the body can move efficiently and effectively.

2. Stamina

Maintain the foundation.

Stamina is the ability to sustain stability over time. It is developing the endurance to maintain proper alignment, control, and mechanics throughout movement.

3. Stretch

Move through the foundation.

Stretch is the ability to maintain stability while moving through a full and functional range of motion. Mobility becomes more valuable when it can be controlled and supported by a stable center.

4. Strength

Challenge the foundation.

Strength is the ability to add load and resistance while maintaining stability, alignment, and control. The goal is not simply to become stronger, but to develop strength that supports quality movement.

5. Speed

Energize the movement.

Speed introduces dynamics, rhythm, and power. It is the ability to move with greater velocity while maintaining stability, control, and intention.

6. Synergy

Bring it all together.

Synergy is the integration of everything that comes before it—the entire body working together as one coordinated unit. Stability, stamina, stretch, strength, and speed become interconnected, allowing movement to become fluid, powerful, and purposeful.

Stability creates the foundation.
Stamina sustains it.
Stretch expands it.
Strength reinforces it.
Speed powers it.
Synergy brings it all together.

S6 Pilates is more than a collection of exercises. It is a system for understanding movement.
